Every woman needs her own space where she can get away from it all, and a favourite place is in the long-awaited antidote to the man cave – the She-Shed!
She-Sheds are captivating women who long for an at-home retreat of their own.
We frequently have our female customers tell us they need two sheds so they don’t have to share it with their husband’s junk. They want a safe and cosy shed to tinker away in while their men have their sheds for their toys.
Because of this, women all over the world are getting their own whimsical hideaways built to escape from the stress of life. I have to admit, I love the idea. It’s a great little spot to relax and get away from everything, head with your girlfriends for a few glasses of wine, escape the family, escape work and just chill out – I want a She-Shed!
Here at Steelcorp, We often get asked, ‘what happens in a she-shed?’
Well, I’m sorry, but I don’t think I can answer that question. Girl-Code states that ‘what happens in the She-Shed stays in the She-Shed’.
LOL, just kidding.
A She-Shed’s primary purpose is to serve as an escape from the noise, the projects and the other distractions in the house. Potting plants, throwing pots, reading, napping, blogging, knitting, woodworking, writing, catching up on some old-fashioned letter writing – whatever artistic pursuits, hobbies, work or leisurely activities a woman enjoys, she can do them in peace in her she shed.
There are no set rules or guidelines for building your she shed, but you would want something sturdy, weatherproof, air-conditioned and great quality. You also want to make it personal to you! Pick your own interior design – Your decision is final.
Having said that, you are entitled to change your mind as many times as you want!
Your ‘She-Shed’ can be designed however you want it, but a quick tip for those of you ladies who would rather not design your she shed, Steelcorp’s new range which is going to be released on the 13th May 2016, has a few small compact sheds – perfect size for your backyard getaway! Keep an eye out on our website, LinkedIn page, and Facebook page, to be the first to know!
